The Reason I've Started Working on my Resume

This is what the past three weeks have been like at our house. Multiply this video by every time I turn off the tv, try to feed Elliot, try to put Elliot in the stroller, try to play with Elliot, try to dress or change Elliot, or try to take Elliot to a friend's house.

Condolences and expressions of sympathy are welcome. I need them. My boss is really crabby.

My sympathies. It must be going around. Piper has been crabby too. My guess for Eliot would be teething.

Glad to see you guys are back in NYC. We're living in Cleveland these days. Rick switched jobs in August so we're here now.

You definitely have my sympathy!! I'm so sorry. Sometimes it's just the pits when that's all you hear and deal with all day. Audrey used to kick me hard in the gut when she went through that same phase when she didn't want a diaper on. And I sooooooo understand the food part. Maybe the behavior is a phase all kids go through at around that age? He seems so similar to Audrey at that age, but A was much worse with the food issues too. Anyway, I'm so sorry! You're not alone!

Those videos look eerily familiar. Why is that? Oh, wait... our daughter...

Crying when refusing to eat? Check.

Peeing and/or pooping in the tub? Check.

Sobbing like she's being waterboarded if you try to change her diaper? Check.

Sobbing like she's a soap opera star when you try to put on pajamas? Check (Susan Lucci, move over).

Wife sobbing when I get home from work because of all above? Check...

JANELLE. you are HILARIOUS. You should seriously do comedy writing. I was laughing so hard I almost fell over when I read this. SO true. I'm sorry. I think it passes. I think they get really set on being independent and it happens like, OVERNIGHT. We still can't get Kennedy to eat unless it is junk food.... think child protective services will come get us for that???

man, that's rough. i had a boss once with a flatulence problem, but i think you win in the "difficult boss" department. i wish you lots of patience and a new phase soon.

At least he peed in the bathtub and not on the floor.

Isn't motherhood grand?
