Scooters

Are a big deal around here. Can you tell?

Might as well start young.

Side note: As I watch Elliot scooter across Broadway without holding an adult's hand (but with me close by, of course), I often think that this would give most of my friends in the 'burbs a heart attack. (Steve? Are you still with us?) Around here, however, it is quite a common sight for kids his age. Elliot in a parking lot of a Costco, however, freaks the heck out of me. Funny what you get used to...

This is so funny and very very true. It would definitely make me nervous having Audrey cross the street on a scooter (or just be in the big city period!), but parking lots...no prob. lol!

That's a lot of money's worth of scooters. I guess in the city, though, you spend the big bucks on self-propelled transportation like strollers and scooters... :)

I had to laugh because William has an orange one, and the only other kid I have ever seen with one is Hulett-who had just come from NY. :)

at least he can play outside. Its 111 right now and officially the season of air conditioning only.

I tried to convince Kent that Gwyneth needs a scooter. I think it would be perfect for taking the family on walks. He would have none of it because his Dr. brother sees a lot of pediatric scooter injuries. I haven't given up though. When he goes back to work, I could just buy one. What he doesn't know can't hurt him.
