On Friday night, a few friends and I (and about 1500 other people) went temporarily insane and decided to sleep out in front of the White House to get tickets to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Though we didn't get a lot of sleep, we did manage to put up a tent in the dark, talk to a number of grumpy park rangers, wear four shirts and four pairs of pants all at the same time, AND get tickets to the Easter egg hunt!
I did feel a little bit lame that my first sleep-out-on-White-House-lawn experience did not involve protesting of any kind. I should have made a poster:
Bush--Get Us Out of Iraq NOW!
(But, in the meantime, can I please come to your super cool Easter party?)
